Ethics

We are building in one of the most sensitive intersections of technology and human emotion. We take that seriously. These are the principles that guide us.

1. Preservation, Not Replacement

Neverleft is a tool for preserving connection and memory — not for replacing the grief process or simulating a living person. We believe grief is natural and necessary, and we will never position our product as a shortcut around it.

2. Slow and Deliberate Growth

We are building slowly. We accept early access users in limited waves. This is a deliberate choice: we want to understand the real impact of our product before scaling, and to make adjustments based on what we learn from real people in real situations.

3. Transparency About AI

We will always be clear that our product is AI-generated. We will never obscure or downplay the artificial nature of our voice companions. Users deserve to know what they are interacting with.

4. Consent at the Center

We require consent before creating any voice profile. We do not allow voices to be created without the knowledge and authorization of the appropriate parties. Consent is not optional — it is a prerequisite.

5. No Exploitation of Vulnerability

We will not exploit grief for commercial gain. Our pricing, marketing, and product decisions are guided by what genuinely helps people — not by maximizing engagement or dependency.
